I’m Carla, I am a first-generation Latina and licensed engineer and project manager in California. I have accumulated over a decade of experience in the corporate world navigating the push and pull of my creative and professional goals. I have constantly fought against the current to find my place in the world. And now, I have found a passion in sharing leadership, career advancement, and work-life balance content for those like me who found themselves a little lost in navigating a professional career —particularly first-gen women—through personal experiences, industry knowledge, and candid reflections. The goal is to empower women to thrive in their careers while acknowledging the real-life complexities that come with ambition. I am driven by the idea that I could help de-mystify a technical career, grow into leadership roles and help remove barriers of entry that stem from not fitting into the societal norm.
